Our trip down memory lane continues in our “Best of the Twenty-Teens” blog series! Next in line, Carrie and Doug (originally posted April 4, 2014).
————————
Carrie, Scottie, and I (Breanna) grew up together.
No, not in childhood but in careers!
We first met Carrie when we were a newbie photography company and she was working at a golf course that had weddings on the side. About the time that our company was growing by leaps and bounds, Carrie moved on to work at a wedding and event only venue. And as our company really got into it’s full swing, Carrie moved onto her current job at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel working in weddings with a whole team of people around her to help!
The cool thing about our side by side careers, that made changes and evolved simultaneously, is that we’ve gotten to work together much longer than we dreamed possible!
So after our many years spent with Carrie, hearing about her life as a single girl as we stood alongside the newly happily married couples we’d worked with together, you can imagine the doubt Scottie and I had when we heard there was a new man in her life!
I mean, who could really be good enough for Carrie, you know?!
Luckily, we soon found out that Doug is!
And I’m not just saying that because they flew us to Hawaii to shoot their wedding…
…I’m saying it because it really deserves to be said!
It has been so fun watching Carrie grow and change not only in her career, but as a person. And now we can’t wait to see what changes are in store for her now that she’s partnering up with Doug to form an amazing team!
Carrie and Doug, we can’t wait to see what’s in store for you next and we couldn’t have been happier to be a part of such an incredible moment in your life (and again, NOT just because it was in Hawaii!).
Thank you for being such a great couple to work with, for loving and supporting what we do as much as you do, and for not freaking out when I called and said I’d be shooting your wedding with a broken arm (and thanks to my cousin, Jeff, for flying from Maui to Oahu to be my extra arm!)! Judging by the pictures we got, I’d say it turned out OK despite lacking full use of all my limbs!
(Tag yourself on our Facebook page to help spread Carrie and Doug’s photos around!)
Congratulations on the wedding… and on the soon to be here baby! Oops! I gave away the secret!
