Kylie’s World Shrinking Newborn Session (By Josh & Kelley)

I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but Josh and I (Kelley) have been shooting newborns left and right!

Okay wait… That didn’t come out right.  What I meant to say is that we’ve been PHOTOGRAPHING lots of newborn sessions.

Not too long ago you all met sweet little Macaley and Landon. Now, we would like you to meet our newest friend and baby model.

Everyone, this is Kylie. She’s the cutest thing ever, isn’t she?

When Kylie’s mom, Julie, emailed me (Kelley) about setting up a newborn session, I was pretty darn excited.

I absolutely love meeting couples with a new baby and snapping some photos in order to help them remember some of their very first days together as a family.

What I didn’t know when Julie emailed me is that we had met before.  In fact, we had likely had in depth conversations circulating around things like the proper use of a semi-colon and whether or not you should use the Oxford comma.

No, we’re not super nerdy literary geeks who met behind the bleachers to discuss the ins and outs of APA Style publication. We were in the same college English class back at ASU, and we even peer-reviewed each other’s papers!

I have to give Julie huge props for her brilliant memory! I knew she looked familiar, but placing a face from a class we had years ago was pretty amazing!

Who would have thought, all these years later, that I would be playing a part in her newborn session? I swear, the world gets smaller every day!

Kylie is such a sweet baby!  Even Josh was amazed by how well she did in front of the camera.

She was calm, quiet, and always ready for the next shot!

Julie, I’m so glad that our paths crossed again so that we could capture some of your first moments as a family of three.
