The main thing I would say about Joy and Joseph’s Wedding is that it was sooo “them”.They put so much time and attention into all the details so that the final product really represented who they are as individuals and as a couple.Everything was them, from the state shaped cheese plates at cocktail hour showing off where they’re from, to the photos they had everywhere displaying their adventures together, to the colors of their wedding in the various shades of wine they enjoy. And if you remember Joy and Joseph’s engagement session at all, you know that having wine be the basis for their color choices is SO very “them”.The venue they got married at itself was very them as well! They chose Condor’s Nest Ranch in Pala, California (one of our all time favorite wedding venues!) because they wanted a chill place to fit their chill personalities. And Condor’s Nest is definitely the place for that, with wedding activities ranging from feeding the animals, to watching the gorgeous sunset over the valley below, to dancing the night away to a country music repertoire that once again, fit Joy and Joseph perfectly! The guests seemed to love the country music as well! As all danced and partied their little Joy and Joseph loving hearts out!Overall, Joy and Joseph’s wedding could not have been a more perfect fit for them! We’re so happy we got to see two people enjoying their very perfect wedding day that they got to spend with their very perfect match! We’re so excited for you two! Congratulations!Click to see the rest of Joy and Joseph’s Wedding Day photos.
When I (Scottie) met with Krista and Weston in June, I could tell that their wedding day would be filled tons of special people and special moments, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. To start with, Krista and Weston had a great bridal party that you could tell were all great friends.
They also had important friends and mentors join them during the time they were getting ready. Their presence and their prayers kept them focused and calm before their big day got started.
Of course some of the most special moments happened during Krista and Weston’s reveal moment and during their ceremony.
My favorite part of the day was after the ceremony when we took Krista and Weston to a beautiful secret spot to get some pictures of just the two of them alone.
Though it’s hard for me to say that the alone photo time was better than their crazy fun reception…
(The first time I’ve ever seen an upside down bride!)
…it’s definitely a close call between the two!
Thank you Krista and Weston for letting us be a part of your amazing wedding and I know that your marriage will be just as special as your wedding day was!

When you move from the East Coast to the West Coast, or vice versa, it seems that a piece of your heart always remains on the other side of the country, no matter how much you love your new home.Which is why it only makes sense that former East Coasters, Eric and Arielle, who now call Southern California home, would want to have a Chicago wedding to look forward to!It’s also why it makes sense that they’d want an engagement session that represents the two parts of their hearts. The open sky and sunny beach……right alongside the bright lights against a night sky that only a downtown area can bring. So we went for a walk in the sand before heading over to those oh so stunning lamp posts at Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).Thanks to their excellent planning, in one shoot we were able to capture both sides of Arielle and Eric……their laid back beach side……and their glam city side!Arielle and Eric, we were happy to spend the evening with both sides of the both of you and we wish you the best of luck when you leave the golden state for your windy city wedding!Congratulations!Click to see the rest of the photos from Eric and Arielle’s Two Sided Engagement Session.
We (Scottie and Breanna) couldn’t be happier to introduce you to our new little friend, Ryah! We’ve loved following along with her mom and dad as we’ve captured so many of their major life events from their engagement, wedding, and first anniversary, to maternity, and now a photo shoot with the little one herself!Of course we loved Ryah from the start. Partially because of our history with her parents whom we already love……also because she’s SO photogenic..… in part because her expressions are so fun to photograph…… but most of all because she’s just so incredibly lovable!!!How could you not adore her?!A big thank you to Ryah’s mom and dad for allowing us to once again be a part of this major milestone in their lives. It’s been so fun watching you two grow and change together since the wedding. All the way from a family of two in Arizona to a family of three in California! Thanks for giving us the honor of being a part of it! We love you guys!Click to see the rest of the photos from Ryah’s one year old session!
A beautiful setting, a happy couple, and plenty of family and friends to celebrate. That’s what a dream wedding is made of, right?!In that case, I’d say that Ashley and Kevin’s wedding had it all!First of all, the setting was stunning and the colors chosen for the big day complimented it so well!I can’t get over how pretty the bridesmaids looked in that aqua color for this marina wedding!
(Click to tag yourself in some of the photos on Facebook!)
Then there was the couple themselves. Could they be any more adorable or in love?!It was so fun to watch them on this day they’ll remember forever. You could just see the joy and love radiating from them. So beautiful! And of course there were the friends and family who were there to celebrate with Ashley and Kevin!
(She’s definitely the most excited for them!)
Everyone was so happy for this amazing couple, that the celebrating and merriment making just couldn’t be contained! This wedding was particularly fun for us as Scottie and I (Breanna) had never been to a Croatian wedding before! In case you were wondering what the best part of a Croatian wedding is, I’ll spare you the suspense… it’s the cookies!!!!It’s tradition at a Croatian wedding for each family to bring a plate of Croatian cookies. However, I did hear that Kevin’s mom baked for five full days straight to provide majority of the cookie love found at this wedding! And these aren’t just any cookies, every single one is decorated differently and tastes amazing in it’s own way! It really is a sight to see them all spread out on tables across half the room, with guests (understandably) clamoring to get as many as they can on their plates before their favorites are gone.
(If you love yourself some cookie photos, there are plenty more to see in the gallery with the rest of Ashley and Kevin’s Wedding Photos!)
Once you’ve pulled yourself away from the cookies (if that’s even possible!), you’ll find that Croatians not only know how to bake, but they also know how to party in style with plenty of traditional dances that everyone at the wedding had a blast participating in (along with some typical American favorites as well)! So thanks to Ashley and Kevin for letting us be a part of this beautifully perfect wedding day with the two of you! We hope it was all you’ve dreamed of and more… and judging by your faces and reactions in the photos, I’d say that’s a safe bet!Congrats to the two of you, enjoy the road ahead together!Click to see the rest of the photos from Ashley and Kevin’s Beautifully Perfect Wedding Day!
