Jennifer and Kenyon's Flagstaff Engagement Session (by Josh & Kelley)

Amazed by this heavenly location?  Josh and I (Kelley) were too.  However, we can take absolutely no credit for finding it.

It’s true!  This beautiful location was all Jennifer’s idea.

You see, back when she was attending NAU, she used to hike out to this location to find a quiet place to study (apparently sorority houses can get a bit noisy at times).

As soon as she saw this place, all those years ago, she KNEW it was going to be the location for her engagement photos.

That was before Jennifer had even met her groom to be, Kenyon, who was also studying at NAU.

That’s right ladies, she hadn’t even met the man she was going to marry yet, but she was already planning her engagement session.  That’s what I call being proactive!

Jennifer admitted to us that when her and Kenyon first met, she wasn’t 100% sure what to think about him.

At first glance, he looked like a big, tough, mean, football player (and rightfully, so being a linebacker on the NAU football team).  However, she very quickly came to find that he’s really just a big teddy bear.

A big teddy bear who is completely perfect for Jennifer, and, like her, loves country music and the outdoors!

Don’t believe me?  I’ll sum up the top five conversation topics that took place between the four of us during our two hour session together:
1. Hunting
2. Elk Spotting
3. Archery
4. Country Swing Dancing
5. Jennifer and Kenyon being in love (I mean it WAS an engagement session after all).

I promise, those were our REAL conversation topics!  I’m a country girl at heart, and Josh is originally from Missouri, so we were loving it!

On the drive back into town Josh started lamenting about never having seen an Elk in Arizona before, and Kenyon and Jennifer were immediately determined to rectify the situation.

Wouldn’t you know it, not two seconds after Jennifer said that she sees elk up there all of the time, and usually in the middle of the road, we saw THREE elk, one of which was RIGHT in the middle of the road.

We were all pretty excited, and I’m still not convinced that Jennifer doesn’t possess some kind of magical elk calling powers.

Jennifer and Kenyon, Josh and I are so happy that you two found each other up in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona and decided to spend the rest of your lives together.

Beyond that, we’re absolutely ecstatic that we get to be a part of your big day!  October can’t come soon enough, and we can’t wait to see your awesome country swing dancing moves… just make sure you don’t kick over any televisions 😉

Had such a good time with you two! Love all the pictures and can’t wait for the next 3 months to fly by! Maybe we will actually hear some elk bugle down in the canyon during the ceremony 🙂 JenyonReplyCancel
