I know I often say, “what’s better than____ and then follow it up with something better. But this time I’m going to change it up on you. This time I’m asking “what’s better than an adorable, very in love couple who’s about to get married?”and I’m proposing that the answer is… nothing!Nothing is better than an adorable, very in love couple who’s about to get married! I mean, having a very fun and chill engagement session with said couple is PRETTY good…… but still not BETTER.Having the perfect location for said engagement photo session is PRETTY good…… but still not BETTER.Having a couple who also happens to look really good together in said photos, is PRETTY good…… but still not BETTER. See what I mean?! There really is nothing better than an adorable, very in love couple who’s about to get married!I rest my case!Click to see the rest of the photos from Ashley and Kevin’s “Nothing Better” Engagement Session. What’s better than an engagement session with a fantastic couple at the always gorgeous Balboa Park in San Diego?Only a session with all that, PLUS their adorable little daughter!
(She’s one year old now and I think she’s pretty proud of it!)
As you can see, Kevin and Carrie’s session had it all and then some. There’s the incredible architecture the park has to offer…… the mind blowing feats of nature…… the little fiesta area of shops I never knew about…… and then there’s this little one! What more could we ask for in an engagement session?Kevin and Carrie, thanks so much for planning the perfect session, for being up for quite a hike around the park, and for spending as much time as we needed with you… and then some! I know I used the word “adventure” pretty liberally in the title of this post, but hey, we DID survive major clothing malfunctions, slippery slopes around fairytale tree roots, and this lip…… so I think we’re ready to take on the best wedding day EVER! See you guys there, we can’t wait!

As Chenaill and Auggie well know, being engaged while living in separate states is tough! Especially when the state you’re getting married in is neither of the ones that either of you are living in! Three states, two people, and one wedding. Now that is complicated! But when you see them together, it’s obvious that it’s all well worth it.Who cares about complication when you’re this in love?!Plus, I think that Chenaill and Auggie are up for the challenge! They decided to make the most of their time in California by having their engagement session done at the same time they were here checking things off the wedding planning to do list.We also made a little checklist of our own for the engagement session!Laughing and having a fun time together? Check.Seeing someplace new and different? Check.Hanging out on the beach? Check.Being really really ridiculously good looking? Double check.Goals accomplished! Overall it was a fantastic session! Chenaill and Auggie, we had so so SO much fun with you guys!!!I hope you love the pictures as much as we loved taking them! Good luck with all the wedding planning, I think it’s going to be a good one!CLICK HERE to see the rest of the photos from Chenaill and Auggie’s Engagement Session!
When you see Gabi’s senior pictures, you will probably notice the same thing that Scottie and I (Breanna) noticed……this girl should be a model!I’m not sure if that’s what her parents want to hear or not, but it’s true. She’s not only tall and gorgeous but she was a complete natural in front of the camera!I asked her over and over again if she’d ever done modeling before because she just seemed to know what she was doing. Every time I asked, the answer was still no, but I still had a hard time believing it!Maybe it’s just because Gabi’s grown up watching how her older brothers and sisters do it, since this will be the fourth and final senior photo session we’ve done for her family! We’ve figured out that Gabi was probably only nine years old when Scottie and I started photography, and likely still pretty close to that age when her oldest brother’s senior photos were taken! It feels like the end of an era!I’m sure Gabi’s parents feel that way even more so as they get ready to watch their baby girl don her cap and gown for her graduation ceremony!I guess that’s why senior photos are so special in the first place, they mark both endings and new beginnings. They commemorate a major stage in life that’s about to transform into a new exciting and equally terrifying (maybe more so for the parents than the kids!) time in life. It’s a very special thing and we’re so happy that we got to be a part of it not only for Gabi, but for all of her family!Congrats, Gabi! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! A modeling career perhaps???Click to see the rest of Gabi’s End of an Era Senior Photos.
Ah the sound of the ocean, the feeling of sand under your feet, and the sounds of children laughing…… or is that thousands of adults laughing, screaming, and talking? Yep, it’s the second one! When we arrived at the Santa Monica Pier for Kelsey and Steven’s engagement session, we definitely expected to find more of the first and ended up with a lot more of the second!Unbeknownst to us, it was the night of the free concert on the pier, and there were thousands of people there along with their millions of bottles of wine. At first, I was a little worried that all these people might take a toll on our photo session, but happily found out that instead, they actually added to it!I mean, what’s a completely empty and quiet beach? The answer is it’s a sad beach! It’s way more fun if there are tons of people wading in the water, building sand castles, or you know, getting drunk on a Thursday night perhaps! 😉In the end, the people really added to the whole energy of the session and gave it a fun hustle and bustle feel… or rather, gave it a more intimate feel with Kelsey and Steven being lost in their own world while people all around them were in a hurry to get in line for a corn dog or to get in the front row of the stage! When you have a couple this perfect for each other and this in love, you can put them anywhere, including in a group of hundreds of people, and they will always catch your eye!So overall, it was a very fantastic and fun session! We had a great time with Kelsey and Steven, got some amazing pictures, saw several intense public displays of affection, dodged some gnarly seagull poop, and are now looking forward to your wedding day even more than we were before!
