Jen and Kenyon’s Countrified Fairytale Wedding (By Josh and Kelley)

When Jen and Kenyon sat down with Josh and me (Kelley) in the nearly unbearable Phoenix heat this summer and told us their wedding would be up North at X Diamond Ranch in October, it seemed like a dream.

You mean there’s a land where the sun isn’t constantly blistering hot and the leaves magically change color in the fall? I couldn’t believe it!

Then the day came, and even with all of the breathtaking fall colors and a comfortable temperature of around 70 degrees, it still felt unreal.

It was like a fairytale wedding, an extremely fun, boisterous, and countrified fairytale wedding!

I’m not even kidding, it was perfect! The girls all looked stunning, and they added a bit of country fun with their cowgirl boots (which did an impressive job at doubling as bedazzled flask holders).

The men were the epitome of manliness with their cowboy hats and blue jeans.

Don’t let that immense amount of manliness fool you though, these guys were all big goofballs when it came down to it.

And Kenyon may have shed a small (and very manly) tear or two when he saw his gorgeous bride for the first time.

Can you blame him though? Jen is, and certainly was on that day, a sight worthy of tears of happiness.

Although Kenyon got a sneak peak of his bride before the wedding, the first time their guests laid eyes on her was when she rode up the drive on a horse. Yes, I said horse!

Any woman who’s brave enough to ride a horse in her wedding dress scores extra awesome points in my book, and Jen did it with true country girl style!

As the night went on, the fun continued.

Guests enjoyed roasting and eating way too many s’mores (if there is such a thing as too many s’mores) and had fun snapping photos in the rustic photobooth.

Then, Jen invoked the help of a few bridesmaids in order to complete a quick wardrobe change that would allow her, and everyone else, to REALLY dance the night away!

I think it’s safe to say that this was a wedding for the the books… The books that end, “and they all lived happily ever after.”

Jen and Kenyon, thank you so much for letting Josh and me be a part of your amazingly special day! We wish you the best of luck and love as your countrified fairytale continues.

A Baby Story VIDEO: Hayden (By Scott & Breanna)

Yes, that’s right! Radiant Photography has done our second ever Family Video! This one is another Baby Story (see our first here)… and we couldn’t be happier with it.

When Jill and Morgan called us about doing a Baby Story for their soon to be here son, Hayden, I (Breanna) spent several hours on the phone with Jill learning about their family so we could begin working on a story line for their video.

One of the first things I learned was that music IS their life.

Both Jill and Morgan consider music to be one of the finer things in life so when they first started dreaming about what life with their little one would be like, they knew without a doubt that music had a place in there.

(I love these pictures where it looks like he’s rocking out!)

The other thing they unquestioningly know is that little Hayden will be a 49er’s fan by blood. Morgan already has big plans for what football Sunday’s will be like in their house and Jill smiles wide as she watches her husband dream about life with their son.

When we showed up to shoot our final video footage, we got to meet Hayden. And just as we expected, the little guy was already pretty happy with the life he had.  His parents couldn’t be happier to have him around, and he was pretty cool with that.

Alright I’m done telling you about all the things you’re about to see, so now it’s time for the main event… the video. If you want to see more photos you can check them out here.

Kylie’s World Shrinking Newborn Session (By Josh & Kelley)

I don’t know if you guys have noticed, but Josh and I (Kelley) have been shooting newborns left and right!

Okay wait… That didn’t come out right.  What I meant to say is that we’ve been PHOTOGRAPHING lots of newborn sessions.

Not too long ago you all met sweet little Macaley and Landon. Now, we would like you to meet our newest friend and baby model.

Everyone, this is Kylie. She’s the cutest thing ever, isn’t she?

When Kylie’s mom, Julie, emailed me (Kelley) about setting up a newborn session, I was pretty darn excited.

I absolutely love meeting couples with a new baby and snapping some photos in order to help them remember some of their very first days together as a family.

What I didn’t know when Julie emailed me is that we had met before.  In fact, we had likely had in depth conversations circulating around things like the proper use of a semi-colon and whether or not you should use the Oxford comma.

No, we’re not super nerdy literary geeks who met behind the bleachers to discuss the ins and outs of APA Style publication. We were in the same college English class back at ASU, and we even peer-reviewed each other’s papers!

I have to give Julie huge props for her brilliant memory! I knew she looked familiar, but placing a face from a class we had years ago was pretty amazing!

Who would have thought, all these years later, that I would be playing a part in her newborn session? I swear, the world gets smaller every day!

Kylie is such a sweet baby!  Even Josh was amazed by how well she did in front of the camera.

She was calm, quiet, and always ready for the next shot!

Julie, I’m so glad that our paths crossed again so that we could capture some of your first moments as a family of three.
