Emily’s fashion plate senior session

This was not the first time we had the opportunity to work with Emily… but it was the first time that she was the main subject in our photos!

The first time we met her, she was a bridesmaid in Julie and Andrew’s wedding and this time she’s a senior in High School and is ready for her close up!

(As you can see, she’s an ice skater so she brought these as a prop.)

And when I say she was ready, I mean she was READY! As soon as I (Breanna) saw her I was excited to start taking pictures of her because she looked SOOO cool!

Throughout the entire session I couldn’t get over all the cool clothes she had! In fact, I was totally inspired to go out and by my cool clothes myself just so I could be as rad as Emily (of course I realize that trying to copy someone automatically lowers my coolness by like 10 points… but I still tried!).

All the tiny little bows in her hair were my favorite! I bought some awhile back but I haven’t figured out how to wear them (this is the awkward fashion stage that begins as soon as you pass 25… and according to my mom, it never ends) so I was excited to know I already had one accessory that was indeed trendy enough to wear and now I knew what to do with it!

I was also happy to discover that when I wore flats with footed tights to the mall that one time, I didn’t look as old and out of it as I felt because apparently that’s OK too!

Thanks Emily, your fashion sense has rubbed off and you’ve done an “old” lady a lot of good! Ha ha! And I really did go shopping later that week to get my Emily style on!

The other thing I noticed right when Emily showed up was that her mom, hidden behind large sunglasses, looked surprisingly young. Just as I was about to start doing the math in my head, her “mom” took off the sunglasses and I found our friend Julie underneath them!

Yay! It was so fun to have one of our past brides at a photo shoot with us! I think it was fun for Julie to be on the other side of the camera as well… she knows all our secrets now!

Emily was chill and easy for me to talk to so she relaxed in front of the camera really quickly…

…but whenever we needed that extra push to get a real laugh out of her, Julie was at our service.

I’m actually disappointed that I was facing Emily the whole time, missing whatever Julie was doing behind me that was apparently hilarious!!

So thanks to Julie for giving a premiere showing of your comedy act and thank you Emily for not only your fashion inspiration but also for making our job so much fun! We absolutely loved working with you and we were so excited that you let us lead you all over the place and patiently allowed us to experiment a little bit with you!

We are very excited with the results and we hope you are too!

(Her Bible is the other thing that is super important to her, so she brought that as a prop as well.)

Growing Your Business with Facebook: Video 3

The biggest question we get when we talk about using Facebook is “so how do you get new people to like your page?”  And this video is the first of three that is going to address that very question.  We consider these 3 videos to be some of the most important in our series because you can be doing everything well on your Facebook page, but if there aren’t people there to see it, none of it really matters!

If you missed our past videos, click to catch up!  After you watch this one, stay tuned for next week when we talk about Getting Fans… by tagging.

And now for this week’s video, “Getting Fans… by asking”.

Tools to share your page:

1. Suggest to friends. This link is right under your profile photo.  If you click this it will give you the option to invite friends from your personal page to your business page and all they have to do to respond to this message is click “confirm” or “ignore”.

2. The share button. This is on the bottom left of your page and is something to familiarize yourself with since it will be the way you can share albums, photos, etc. as well.  Clicking the share button gives you the option to post your page on your personal profile wall (along with a personal note) OR send a link to your page in a personal message (along with a note) to select friends.

Note: The personal message sent to friends is different than what the “suggest to friends” link will send because the share button only sends a link.  The suggest to friends sends the option for people to like your page without even going to it first.

P.S. We humbly dedicate this video to the Nelsens and the Worsleys… thanks for your help guys. We love you!

Abby and Niel’s Perfect Wedding!

Abby and Niel planned out every little detail to their wedding fantastically.

The location, the decorations, the timing… all of it came together to create the perfect wedding day.  When little girls dream about their wedding, I’m pretty sure the one they picture in their head looks like Abby and Niel’s!

Abby and Niel got married at Villa Siena in Gilbert, AZ.  When you step in the doors of Villa Siena you are immediately transported out of the desert and into a little Tuscan village.

Everything in Villa Siena has been selected very careful and every last tiny detail (even the ones you would never think about) have been taken care of so that the feel around the entire place is consistent in every single way.  So basically it’s the perfect place to house Abby and Niel’s perfect wedding!

Another feature of perfection at this wedding was the flowers.  To describe them merely as “stunning” would be the understatement of a century!

(and check out her “I Do” shoes!).

The colors popped out to contrast Abby’s dress (and everything else they were next to) beautifully.  Almost every time I (Breanna) saw them I muttered “wow” under my breath (I couldn’t say it loudly of course because people would think I was crazy!).

And then there was Abby’s dress itself.  This dress had one of the coolest feature I’ve seen on a wedding dress yet!

It had interchangeable details on it!  For the ceremony, she had an artistic looking flower on it…

… and for the reception she put on a super chic sash!

It was such a subtle change, but it was just the perfect touch!  Of course I can’t forget her sparkly chandelier earrings that were to die for!

Apparently you did a great job on your outfit Abby, I can’t stop talking about it!;-)

To make a perfect wedding day complete, one must have a perfect party to finish it off!  And that’s just what Abby and Niel had.  Now, I never got the full story on these 2 families, but it seems like all of them have a ton of dance in their background!

Everyone from the grandparents to the little kids seemed to know official dance moves, it was so impressive!

I sat and watched as one little boy swung a girl up into the air and she landed just right and danced flawlessy into the next position!!

If I tried that, I’d be very lucky if both me and partner didn’t end up in the hospital, let alone be able to keep dancing without missing a beat!  These kids… along with everyone else there it seemed… really knew what they were doing!

I loved watching Abby and Niel dance too, they both looked so happy.:-)

I hope you guys forever stay as happy as you looked on the dance floor… and that you follow in your grandparents’ footsteps and get to enjoy dancing together for many more years to come!

Your wedding was spectacular and we hope you loved every minute of it!  Congratulations!

Brittany, Brandon, and baby boy

Brittany’s back… and she’s bigger than ever.  No, I’m not just cruel.. I’ll have you know that she happens to be pregnant this time around!

We have had multiple photo experiences with Brittany (and her husband, Brandon) and every time we work with her, we are reminded of how much we L-O-V-E working with her!  How could we not?  I mean, look at her…she’s perfect!

(This is a pose that Brittany wanted so she could have a similar photo to one that Scottie took at her trash the dress session.  So now she has matching photos… only in one she’s wearing her wedding dress and in the other she’s wearing a maternity shirt!).

Not to mention, she’s totally flawless and smooth in front of the camera (she claims she feels awkward at times, but I don’t see it).

I know by now that most girls out there are probably beginning to feel a little jealous of beautiful Brittany, who’s totally cute even when she’s very pregnant. Just wait girls, it’s about to get worse because Brittany is not only gorgeous but she’s also one of the coolest people around!

(Her and Brandon made that piece of art behind her! See? So cool.).

(I mean, how many girls do you know who want to do jumping shots in their maternity session? I told you… it’s the coolness).

Not to mention she will kill you with her genuine kindness.  I mean it!  We went out to dinner after the session and our waiter was… well, kind of an a-hole.  But by the end of the night he was laughing and talking to Brittany like she was his best friend!  He went from being super uppity and aloof to her biggest fan in the span of one dinner… just because Brittany was being lovable Brittany!

I’ve known her long enough that I should no longer be surprised by amazing Brittany feats involving winning the hearts of everyone around her, but I can’t help it… it’s still so awesome to watch!

So if you were a little jealous before, put it to rest because even if you try to hate her for being so wonderful, she’ll win you over in a matter of minutes. (Oh yeah and did I mention she’s super talented and extremely creative as well?! You should see how cool her house is!).

Her husband, Brandon, knows he totally scored when he married Brittany, and he’s still very much in love with her.

In fact, we caught some great loving moments between the two of them.

They have so much fun together and they seem really happy with their life (which makes me happy just to witness!).

We were so honored to work with this great couple yet again and we look forward to meeting that baby one day!

Thanks guys, we had a great time with you and we are seriously so excited for you to experience this new stage in life!
